The drawing!
Before I wrote, I drew what I imagined. These were almost always characters from stories I’d woven in my head. But while drawing is an incredible vehicle for storytelling, for me it is more limiting and less satisfying than writing. The fact remains that drawing is still important to me today. Of course, since I prefer to write, I don’t have much time to pick up my pencils, watercolors, brushes, or Cintiq. But from time to time, when a character comes to my mind and words just aren’t enough, I will draw him or her. So here you’ll find a few of my drawings, not all of them are recent and I used a lot of different techniques, but all of them are my own!
